API Documentation Knowing your WhatsApp Business number’s status helps you understand whether your account is active, restricted, or under review. Follow these steps to easily check it from your Meta Business Manager.
🔍 Step 1: Access WhatsApp Manager

Log in using the Business Manager that owns your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).

You’ll be redirected to the WhatsApp Manager dashboard.
⚙️ Step 2: Open Your WhatsApp Account Settings

From the left-side menu, click “WhatsApp Accounts.”

Select your WABA name from the list.

Click the “Phone Numbers” tab — this displays all numbers connected to your WABA.
📋 Step 3: Review the Number Status
Next to each phone number, you’ll find its current connection status.
Here’s what each status means:
| 🏷️ Status | 💬 Description |
|---|---|
| ✅ Connected | The number is active and can send/receive messages normally. |
| ⏳ Pending | Setup or verification is still in progress — wait until it’s completed. |
| ⚠️ Limited | Messaging limit has been reached or the account is temporarily restricted. |
| 🚫 Disabled | The number or WABA has been banned for violating Meta policies. |
| 🔎 In Review | The account is currently under review (for example, after a migration or appeal). |
| 🟡 Unverified / Verified | Shows whether your business is verified in Meta Business Manager. |

Keep your message quality rating high by avoiding spammy or repetitive content.

Make sure your Business Manager is verified to prevent restrictions.
