Adding product pictures to your WhatsApp confirmation messages helps customers instantly recognize what they ordered — improving trust, reducing confusion, and enhancing their shopping experience.
With eGrow, you can easily include product images in your automated WhatsApp confirmation messages using approved templates.
Step 1: Create a WhatsApp Message Template with an Image Header
Before setting up your automation, you first need a WhatsApp template that supports images.

Go to Integrations → WhatsApp Integration → View Integration.

Click Templates → New Template.

Choose Header Type: Image.

Upload a default product image (this will appear if the product image is not dynamically sent).

Write your confirmation message content and map variables (e.g., {{1}} = customer name, {{2}} = order number).

Submit the template for Meta approval.
Once the template is approved, you can use it in your automations.
Step 2: Go to Your Automation Builder

Log in to your eGrow account → https://app.egrow.com/home

From the sidebar, navigate to:
Automation → New Automation
Step 3: Set the Trigger
Choose when you want the confirmation message to be sent.
For example:

Order → Order created (to send the message right after a new order is placed)
Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Add the Condition and the Action

Click + and choose Instant Condition → Order stage, Is, Pending
Click + and choose Action → WhatsApp Message.

Select Send WhatsApp Message (Template).

Choose your approved confirmation template that includes an image header.
Step 5: Add the Product Picture to the Template
In the WhatsApp Template setup:

Choose Header Type: Image.

For the image URL, use the dynamic field related to your product image.
Usually, this will be something like:
{{First_order_product_image}}
➡️ If you’re using eGrow’s dynamic variables, make sure you map:

{{1}} = contact_name

{{2}} = order_products
-
{{3}} = product_image
This ensures the right image from the customer’s order is automatically displayed in the message.
Step 6: Test Your Message
Before activating, always send a test order to confirm the image is displaying properly.
You should see the WhatsApp message with:

The product picture on top
-
Order details and confirmation text below
Step 7: Save and Activate
Give your automation a clear name such as:
“Send Product Picture in Confirmation Message”
Set the automation status to Active.
Now every time an order reaches the trigger stage, eGrow will automatically send your WhatsApp confirmation message — complete with the correct product image.
