Create Your First WhatsApp Template

With eGrow, you can create and manage WhatsApp message templates easily. Follow the steps below to create your first template and automate communication with your customers.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to WhatsApp Integration

From your dashboard, navigate to:
Integrations > WhatsApp > Templates
Then click “New Template.”

2. Fill in Template Details

Template name: Choose a simple, clear name like order_update_1. Avoid spaces or special characters.

Language: Select the language of the message (e.g., English US).

Category: Choose a relevant category (e.g., Utility, Marketing).

3. Write the Body Message

In the Body section, write the message text using variables for dynamic content.

Example:

Hello {{1}}, thank you for your order!
🧾 Order Number: {{2}}
📦 Product: {{3}}
💰 Total Amount: {{4}}
📍 Address: {{5}}
Please confirm your order so we can start processing it

Add variables like {{1}} for customer name, {{3}} for product list, and {{4}} for price etc...
You must also provide sample values for each variable below the editor.

4. (Optional) Add a Header or Footer

Header: You can leave this empty or choose to add media (text, image, document).

Footer: Add a short note like “Thank you for choosing us.”

5. Add Buttons (Optional)

You can include Quick Reply or Call to Action buttons to improve interaction.

Example:

Quick Reply 1: I will be available

Quick Reply 2: Not available

6. Preview and Save

The Template Preview on the right side will update in real-time as you type.
Once ready, click Save to submit your template for approval.

Tips

Keep messages short and clear.

Avoid promotional language in Utility or Transactional templates.

Every template must be approved by WhatsApp before use.
