How to Automatically Send a WhatsApp Message When Receiving a Keyword Message From a Customer

With eGrow automations, you can automatically reply on WhatsApp when a customer sends a message containing a specific keyword (for example: Aspirateur).
This is very useful for product inquiries, FAQs, or routing customers based on what they ask.

Below is a step-by-step guide to set it up.


What This Automation Does

Whenever a customer sends a WhatsApp message that contains a specific keyword, eGrow will automatically send a predefined reply.

Example:
If a customer sends a message containing “Aspirateur”, they receive an instant reply with product image.


Steps to Set It Up

Step 1: Create a New Automation

  1. Log in to your eGrow account.

  2. Go to Automations.

  3. Click New Automation.


Step 2: Choose the Trigger

  1. In the Trigger section, select:

    • New Message Received

This means the automation will start every time a customer sends a WhatsApp message.


Step 3: Add a Condition (Keyword-Based)

  1. Click Instant Condition.

  2. Choose:

    • Message → Body contains keyword → 

  3. Enter the keyword you want to detect.
    Example:

    • Aspirateur

✅ The automation will only run if the customer’s message contains this keyword.

💡 You can create multiple conditions for different keywords if needed.


Step 4: Choose the Action

  1. Click Add Action.

  2. Select:

    • Send WhatsApp Message


Step 5: Choose the Message Type and Content

In the action configuration, choose the type of WhatsApp message you want to send automatically.

You can select from:

  • Text message

  • Image

  • Audio

  • Document

  • or any other supported WhatsApp message type

Example (Image Message):
If you want to send only the product image for Aspirateur:

  1. Select Message Type: Image

  2. Upload or select the product image (Aspirateur)

  3. (Optional) Add a caption if needed


Step 6: Save and Activate the Automation

  1. Click Save.

  2. Set the automation status to Active.


✅ Result

From now on:

  • Whenever a customer sends a WhatsApp message containing the keyword (e.g. Aspirateur),

  • eGrow will automatically send your predefined reply,

  • Helping you respond instantly without manual work.


💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Use clear and specific keywords to avoid false triggers.

  • Avoid using very common words (like “hello” or “price”).

  • Test the automation by sending a message with the keyword from a real WhatsApp number.
