How to Automatically Send a WhatsApp Message When Receiving the First Message From a Customer
You can create an automation in eGrow to instantly send a WhatsApp reply whenever a customer contacts you for the first time. This helps you acknowledge new conversations right away and provide a quick response, even if your team is not available.
Steps to Set It Up
Create a New Automation
Go to the Automations section in your eGrow account and click Create New Automation.

Choose the Trigger

Select Trigger: New Message Received.
This means the automation will start each time a new message is received.

Add a Condition
Click Select Condition.

Choose Message → is → First.
This ensures the automation only runs on the first message sent by the customer, not on every reply.
Choose the Action
Click Select Action.

Choose Send WhatsApp Message.
Write Your Message

Type the message you want to send automatically.
Example:
“Thank you for reaching out! We’ve received your message and will get back to you shortly.”

Save the Automation

Click Save Automation to activate it.

Result
From now on, whenever a customer sends a message to this WhatsApp number for the first time, they will automatically receive your predefined response. This only applies to the first message in the conversation, so customers won’t receive the same auto-reply multiple times.
