When you try to add a new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) number in Meta or through your BSP (Business Solution Provider), you may encounter the following error message:

"This number is registered to an existing WhatsApp Business account on another Business Solution Provider. If you continue, your number will be moved to your new WhatsApp Business account in eGrow. Once registration is complete, you won’t be able to send or receive messages from your previous account."

✅ What Does This Error Mean?

This message indicates that:

  1. The phone number you’re trying to add is already linked to a WABA on another Business Solution Provider (BSP).

  2. Meta allows only one BSP at a time to manage a WhatsApp Business number.

  3. If you proceed, the number will be migrated to the new BSP (in this case, eGrow).

  • You may have previously registered the same number with a different BSP.

  • The number might have been used in a test/demo environment with another provider.

🛠️ How to Resolve This Error

  1. Verify Ownership of the Number

    • Make sure you control the phone number (you’ll need to receive the OTP via SMS or call during registration).

  2. Decide on the Migration

    • If you want to use this number in eGrow, click Continue and complete the migration.

    • If you prefer to keep using the number with the previous BSP, stop here and do not proceed.

  3. Check for Data & Templates

    • Before migrating, export or save any message templates, chat history, or settings from the old BSP (if possible).

  4. Clear Outstanding Payments

    • 📌 Important: Make sure you don’t have any unpaid bills or invoices with your old BSP before migrating. Outstanding payments can sometimes cause issues or disputes during the transfer process.

  5. Complete Migration
